Belma Ozturkkal

Belma Öztürkkal, Associate Professor, Department of International Trade and Finance, Faculty of Management, Kadir Has University, received a BS from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering and a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in Finance from University of Miami. She holds a PhD in Business Administration - Finance from Marmara University. She was at University of Texas at Dallas, Department of Finance for her Post-Doc in 2008-2009.
She was General Manager of Koc Invest, the investment banking arm of the Fortune 500 company Koc Group in Turkey between 2000 and 2006. She was General Manager and Board Member of HSBC Invest, which is the subsidiary of HSBC Bank Turkey in 1999-2000. She provided advisory services to major industry groups in Turkey.
Her research spans a variety of areas within finance, with particular emphasis on behavioral finance, household surveys, mutual funds, mortgages, banking and corporate finance. Her research has been published in finance journals such as the European Journal of Finance, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Borsa Istanbul Review and her book chapters has been published in reputable publishing houses as Palgrave Macmillan, Springer, McGraw Hill. Dr. Öztürkkal teaches Behavioral Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Institutions and Markets, Portfolio Management in both graduate and undergraduate programs at Department of International Trade and Finance of Kadir Has University.
She taught at Universities of Texas, Cologne Business School, Koç, Sabancı, Bilgi.
She is the recipient of Kadir Has Scientific Research Grant in 2018 and Pump Priming Fund Grant from Cass Business School, London, UK in 2010.
