Emre Özsöz

Emre Özsöz serves as an Associate Professor of Economics at State University of New York’s FIT campus. He has received his PhD in Economics from Fordham University and holds an MA in International Political Economy and Development from the same school. He received his BA in Economics and Government from Franklin and Marshall College.
His main research interests include dollarization and banking systems of emerging market economies. His articles have been published in journals such as Emerging Markets Review, Journal of Financial Services Research, OPEC’s Energy Review, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade and Eastern European Economics. He is also the author of two books on dollarization and has co-authored a textbook on financial management.
He has been awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarly Activities in 2016 and has received several Merit Awards by SUNY for his work.
